"Our 3rd visit and it's now becomimg a regular must-stay hotel, and would be a great half-way stop for journeys from the south of the country to Scotland!Well situated at Junction 36 of the M6, and extremely handy for explorations near and far within the Southern Lakes area.The owners, Charles and June, are always very welcoming, ably assisted by Viv their son-in-law and by great staff including Mark and Karen who are always friendly and helpful.Accommodation is exceptionally comfortable, and the food, in a choice of two locations is 'seriously' good, having had a drink in the bar by the open fire first !"
